Growing as..

To my mind, parents and teachers are raising and educating boys and girls in the right way nowadays.
From nursery school to higher education I have found great teachers and all of them were hard-working people. They gave me a sound knowledge with all their enthusiasm, if you attended all the lectures, you could pass the exams without problem.
Usually, teachers help you when they see that you stay a little late with the lesson. Perhaps there are many things to change in Spanish education but I think that is not the fault of teachers if not the education system imposed. It is the same which compares us to other countries such as Finland (Spain being below).
My university makes an effort and make use of teaching elementary students to create support groups for underprivileged children. This work makes them grow as a person and as future teachers and they do it with love and dedication. Two of my roommates are helping in these groups.
Personally speaking, the education given by our parents and teachers is the best they can give us in most cases and this is what will make you grow as a person and be what you want.

Xmas ads - Intro/Conclusion

Dolls, stuffed animals, video games, christmas treats ... Christmas is coming and with it an advertising boom. Thousands of ads invade our screens  making us ,unconsciously, passive consumers basically because the ads are repeated and repeated until they fall on our heads. Good and effective way to wash our brains, right

In conclusion, there is a huge advertising impact and it should be controlled because it begins to abuse, especially in these important dates. A good ad hits more when you see it a few times, not all the time and ads should be better administered in time in which they appear, because nowadays we live in an era in which we put more ads than television programs.

Biffy Clyro

A few days ago I discovered this band that had both recommended me some friends and I have to say that I fell in love.
The Scottish band will not let indifferent with his lyrics and the music accompanies perfectly, creating an awesome set.

I invite you to listen to Biffy Clyro as my firend Gabriel did, and if you can, try to go to a concert. I leave you one song that I love. Enjoy! :)

Family

To my mind, the family is what gives you life even if it is something that is not chosen and comes default. As something obligatory for everyone, the family becomes a lottery. You can take very well with your blood relatives or very bad. As a rule, the family is not always a close-knit family, there are happy moments but difficult too.
In my case, I have been very lucky with my family, they are funny but serious at the same time, a good combination. I have very good relationship with my close relatives but I have less relationship with my distant relatives. I can say I have got an extended family; I have got ten uncles and aunts, thirteen cousins, two grandparents, two parents and a brother.
My most admired family member is my grandmother Josefa. She has worked since she was small and she has grown in a dysfunctional family. She is a short dumpy woman with a big heart. I really love her although sometimes our opinions collide.
The most family member I look like is my cousin Juan. We have fair hair and an upturned noseand both we have a youthful appearance although he already has twenty-three years old. He is studying at university as her sister and their parents got divorce seven years ago.
I would like to be more with my family and I hope to continue this relationship with them.

Práctica 1 corregida

Vegetables are one of my favorite kind of food and I eat them almost every day. As a rule, young people hate vegetables and they don´t eat anything related to this, but it is not my case. I prefer to eat artichoke with onions or another vegetable rather than meat or fish. Despite this, I eat everything because that is what we need. I think vegetables and fruits are better than chocolate or candies. Also, vegetables are healthier. I really love to eat beans, cauliflower or carrots. There is something that I can´t stand and that is the vegetable soup, but it is the only thing. Now in Murcia I buy a lot of vegetables for dinner like sparagus, broccoli or mushrooms. I think this is the best way to be healthy and keep us well fed.

Living in a big city (advantages and disadvantages)

One of the new things about this course has been moving to a new house in a big city, Murcia, and this fact makes me realize all the big changes  with my city. On the one hand, being in this city makes you closer to everything. If you want, you can go through the city centre to buy, eat, do exercise, sign up for courses... In addition, everything is connected so you don't have to walk around the city to get to the other side, there are a lot of buses and a tram. If you're here and you're going to college you don't have to move away, so you spend less money and less time on the train. On the other hand, if you live in a big city there are more people so when are you going to the cinema or to buy there are many more people. Also, in the case in which you drive, there is much more traffic. There are more people also there are more noises and more pollution. Despite the disadvantages, I do still preferring to live in a big city because I think that there are many more facilities.

Music Today

It is clear that music evolves year after year and month-to-month, but better?
It all depends on what you evolve your tastes also.
It is almost impossible to think like, for example in my case, I started to listen to the greats of rock thanks to my parents and how now I hear all, although I don't like rap.
How we've evolved from Freddie Mercury to Hardwell?
Guitar solos ancients have left pass to electronic sounds that sneak into our heads and make you look almost like a crazy dancing. And speaking of dances, these also have undergone a change. Years ago you had a minimum knowledge of dance and you danced at the disco, but now the only thing you can do is jump with raised arm and pasting cries. I'm not saying that it is a bad thing, but it is the closest thing to a kind of elimination of stress.
In contrast, if you remain very similar followers. Broken t-shirts, tattoos, piercings and long hairs...Everything changes and this is good but will have to wait a few more years to see what happens.

Pollution

From my point of view, pollution is an Earth disease produced by men and now we need to do something about it. The conscious people on this issue, as me, should have more influence on the people with power to find solutions together, but it really isn't like this. I want to think that people are becoming more aware and gradually this will have good changes.

Zoos

Two years ago I went with my parents, my brother and some friends to Cabarceno´s nature park in Santander. Cabarceno is an enormous kind of zoo where you can go with your own car and do a safari. This surprised me because I had never been so close to wild animals including some endangered animals. Since I did this tour, I’m in love with the animal kingdom. We used the cable car where we could see all the breed animal without danger.
I loved seeing the giraffes, bears, dangerous snakes, rhinos..But what I really liked was that this zoo had some conservation ideas and an animal protection charity. Moreover, this zoo collected animals that their habitat has been destroyed.
It’s true that some animals have behavioural problems due to being locked in a cage, but I prefer to think that animals are better cared for there than in their natural habitat. After visiting those animals, I changed my mind about zoos, because I thought zoos were prisons but I could see the opposite. They don’t endanger animals, they only wish the animals have been the best in a suitable location.
I could see there a family of Iberian lynx and it made me think that they really protect species. Some zoos are actually doing something to try to conserve endangered species and this is an example.
The zoo was very keen on our education about conservation and now I ‘m very interested
in this issue. It made me think differently.

Now we are in a society too well-off but we should think more about animals that are helpless and affected by the atrocities of humans.

Now, describe someone...

I couldn't have a better brother. His name is Juanjo and he's two years younger than me. Even I'm older than him, he's taller and thiner, so people say me thar he´s the oldest. He has a flurry beard too. He's in love with all kind of music, in particular, he loves to play the piano. We always spend our time singing and playing the piano making covers. I love him because he always helps me when no one could do and he's always there for all.

Barcelona.

The best place I have visited and where I have spent the best summer of my life is Barcelona.  I stayed there with my best friends this summer to celebrate the end of PAU.
First of all we decided to do this trip because my friend Mari Sole was born there and she loved the idea. We prepared our heavy backpacks and large suitcases and we set off to Alicante by train.  When we arrived to Alicante we took a taxi to transport our luggage to the airport. Taxis are too expensive. Fortunately we took the plain on time and I could sit in a window seat. The trip was very short; we arrived to Barcelona in 30 minutes. The first thing I thought in Barcelona was “Why didn’t I bring warmer clothes?!”
We kept on going to the hotel and it was a strange adventure. We first began to walk to the opposite side so we arrived to the outskirts of the city, where there were some slums. Then we looked for the hotel in Google Maps so we discovered that it was on the other side of the city. Finally we found the hotel and we left all our things to go to Park Güell, there we took a lot of pictures and we had a good time.
In the evening, we went to the town centre to have dinner and drink something in typical bars. After that, we went to some pubs and discos. Then we spend two days in the beach knowing a lot of people, practising windsurf in Costa Blanca. We went shopping too.
The last day in Barcelona we visited other monuments like Sagrada Familia, Tower Agbar, Barcelona head, Gaudi’s artworks, Batllo house..
My friend Mari Sole drove a car to the airport and we caught a flight.
I didn’t get a good tan, but I got beautiful pictures and a better relationship with my friends.

I recommend travelling to Barcelona if you love beautiful and breathtaking sceneries. And especially, if you love art and the works of Gaudi, a gothic style full of colour.

Fashion and me

Hello, my name is Ana Blázquez Garre. I’m eighteen years old and I come form a town one hour form Murcia called Lorca.
Last week I moved to Murcia to start my first year in college. At first I was scared because I’ve never lived alone before, but luckily my roommates have taught me all the charms of college life. I’ts weird because I’ve always been a shy girl, but this new situation  is making me be more sociable and fun with everybody.
My personality is reflected in the clothes I like and I usually wear. I’m an average person, I don’t wear preppy clothes, above all because I don’t like to  attrack attention. I have a casual look, I’m not a fashion – coscious person but I think I have good taste.
It’s true that sometimes I surf the internet looking for  nice tips about beauty, but i don’t try to keep up with the latest fashions. Now I’m a student so I have to cut down on spending so much on clothes if I want to go out too.
To go to college, I slip on the first thing I see in the closet. I usually wear basic  trousers and basic t-shirts. When I go out with my friends I use another dress code using more skirts and more shirts. Occasionally I use heeles too.
I definitely think that the best thing to wear are tracksuits and pyjamas.
I love music, It attracts me more than fashion. When I play the violin I can flow with the melodies and feel a special sense of freedom.
I don’t think to feel comfortable with ourselves we should follow rules, everyone should wear whatever they want without thinking about another opinion. Obviously,  there are fundamental rules such as not to go naked in the street.
